MARCHA 2023 – San Antonio, TX

We are looking forward to gathering in person after 4 years of being physically separated by COVID19 – more than ever, the voices of Hispanic/Latinxs are needed as our denomination prepares for a historic General Conference in 2024, and together we build the next expressions of the United Methodist movement.

Our United Methodist Church, like this country, is facing a crisis like no other in the history of both institutions. For this reason, this MARCHA meeting is obliged to focus on an introspective analysis that reveals the causes of this precarious situation in our environment. In addition, it must be analyzed to what extent this affects the Spanish-speaking people that we try to serve and represent.
If this does not become the central theme of this meeting, we will have to add to the fact that if we are not part of the solution, then we are part of the problem.
May our sanity allow us to focus on this issue and commit ourselves to fight for the cause that spawned us from the beginning and for which we have been fighting – As Associated Methodists Representing the Cause of the Hispanic people.
